About the art

Figs are quite nostalgic for me. I have memories as a child of picking them from a giant fig tree and savoring their unique taste under the warm sun. I often associate them with South Georgia, where I grew up. 

"Figs 'n Honey" was such a delight to draw and this was the first piece where I really started to explore patterns, as seen on the plate's edge and tablecloth.
